Chemo Cap Tracker

Hurray! We reached our goal of $2,000!

As of December 2014, Chemo Caps for Kids has raised $2,716.00 for Kids Kickin' Cancer Foundation. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Submitting a Cap & Patterns

Caps may be dropped-off at the Onset Bay Wellness Center 239 Onset Ave, Onset Center. There is a bin with submission forms as well as donated yarn for everyone to use. If unable to drop-off at this location call Sharon @ 508 813 2897 to make arrangements.
  • Child size chemo caps (knitted/crocheted) NO wool please. We recommend soft yarn & solid caps--no v-stitch, shell stitch or granny squares

*Note* photos were not taken by me and are for illustration purposes only.

Click on this how-to-crochet tutorial video if you are a beginner to learn basic crocheting.
Art of Crochet by Theresa are great videos for beginners. Start with this video then go to the next until you are comfortable with basics.
You will need:
  • 1 ball of cotton yarn (4 ply worsted weight)
  • size H crochet hook
You can buy the yarn and hook at either Michaels Craft store or Wal-Mart for about $4.50. I would recommend the Caron Soft yarn or the Bernat Satin or any baby soft yarn.
Don't forget about the boys too!!
The pattern we used at the fundraiser can be found inside Michael's Craft store in print for free or here: Knit or Crochet Pattern/Skill Level EASY

Additional Chemo Cap patterns can be found at www.headhuggers.org

Thank you again
Happy Crocheting.
